Uninvite guests

Joann, on May 14, 2019 at 5:13 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8
Is it tacky or too late to uninvite guests from your wedding when they don’t have the best interest at hand for the bride and groom? Wedding is two weeks out and some people who are family are acting like they are better than and bringing drama.

Yes, it's rude to uninvite someone.. especially so close to your date. Just let them know it will be a drama free wedding and if they cannot behave they will be asked to leave if you must.

I don't totally know your situation, but it is rude to uninvite someone.

Definitely rude to uninvite someone, but maybe just give your venue or coordinator a heads up on who to keep an eye on for drama and have them nip it quickly should it get really dramatic, ex: punches or yelling.

I want to do this with my bridal shower, but I know I can not. My grandmother is not all that nice and she had some not nice words to say about me because she chased away all the other family members so I was the only one left. I am then like I do not want her there at all, but I have to suck it up. It will only be for three hours!! People are petty and miserable for no reason!

Uninviting guests, especially family, is not going to go well. Families will bring it up constantly....forever. Have your day the way you see fit but be warned.

It is rude to uninvite people but if you are 100% sure that they are going to bring drama to your wedding be honest about it ,and uninvite them at the end of the day it’s your wedding..
