Uneven bridal party question

Amanda, on June 24, 2017 at 8:49 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 14

Hey everyone. My FH and I are discussing our bridal party and we are considering having more guys than girls which I know is not a big deal.

The question that came up was when we do the entrance to the reception, who goes in with the "single" guy? His spouse/gf will be invited to the wedding and my solution was just to have her walk in with him. Would that be weird since she's not in the wedding?

Just let him walk in alone.

You could also have a BM walk with two guys, one on each arm!

We have uneven parties and groomsmen are entering from the side while girls are walking solo down the aisle

Have the groomsmen walk in from the side at the front ,and stand and wait while the bridal party, including you, enter.

For the recessional, one BM can be escorted by two groomsmen.

We have uneven numbers, plus mixed gender parties with uneven numbers of men and women. I think everyone's just going to walk alone. Maybe they'll pair up for the recessional and the "leftover" bridesmaid can walk with our officiant. I guess I should figure that out.

I'm speaking strictly to the reception on this. For the ceremony the guys are walking in by them selves then the bridesmaids are walking down the aisle ahead of me.

If for the reception, I would have him walk in with another pair.

We have uneven numbers (7 BMs and 5 GMs) and we'll just have 2 of the GMs escort 2 BMs.

When my bridesmaids walk down the aisle (before I do), they are walking alone. When they leave, 2 of my bridesmaids will walk with 1 groom because I have an uneven #

We have one more GM than BM. We're having my two brothers walk my FH sister in so nobody is walking alone
