I have an ivory chiffon dress. Looking online it said to go with seamless underwater. So I bought some, wore them to my alteration appointment but I could have sworn I saw something, that something being something I wouldn't want anyone to see😬 I mean it could have been me and my mind playing tricks on me as I've been freaking out about this🤷‍♀️ So I talked to the alterations manager, she said they would work & if I wanted I could go to white underwear & I've heard not to be that brave, especially bc of the material and color of my dress.
My question is, what kind/ color of underwearyou choose to go with? Are there ways I can test it out to make sure no one will see them?

    What color underwear did you buy? Nude is usually the best, as the white might actually show more intensely underneath your dress.

    They were also nylon, so I'm thinking that's why it shows a bit more? I'm now trying to find seamless cotton nude underwear. I had no luck at Walmart, so I'm going to try V.S one day this week.

    My reception dress is tighter, so I’m planning to wear skin tone shapewear with that one. I agree with PP not to do white as that usually shows through. Can you have a trusted friend or relative join you for your next fitting so you can get a second opinion?

    After learning to wear nude, I wouldn't ever attempt to do white. That is something that no matter where I looked, it wouldn't end up well given the color & fabric of my dress. I had read for your underwear to match your skin tone instead of your dress. I was just shocked the alterations lady had suggested it. I have my next appointment on the 27th & my grandmother will be going along.
