Undergarments- sheer side panel dress 1

I finally got my dress this week! I don't have any pictures of me in it yet but here is the stock photo. Under the arms, it is see through so I wanted to ask for advice on bras. I definitely need to wear one because I need the help haha. I don't want to do sew-in cups. Anybody had any luck with those that stick on your boobs and you tighten up? I also saw one with clear sides that tape to your skin. Any advice??

When you went to try it on, what did the consultant suggest? I’m guessing you haven’t met with a seamstress since you just got your dress. She could add the cups for you and / or offer you suggestions.

She suggested the two kinds I just mentioned when I tried on the dress. I just wanted to know if anyone had tried those and if they were comfortable and gave enough push-up. I'm not having any alterations done so I won't be meeting with a seamstress.

They definitely don't look comfortable! That's why I wanted to get some opinions before I spent money on one of them. Thank you!

I've never tried the kind that you pull together in the center, but I do have a few pairs of flesh toned "sticky boobs" (I don't know the real name) but the one side is sticky and they have a plastic clip in the front to attach them, or you can keep them separate. They look like chicken cutlets lol but definitely wouldn't show through your side panel. I got mine at JoAnn Fabrics but I know they sell them all over.

I had to have seen in cups into my dress.. I was skeptical about it too becuaee I always wear at least a strapless bra .. but it worked for me .. if it comes down to that it’s not as back as it sounds to go bra less w cups lol

Yes, I was thinking about trying those! I think the dress is tight enough which should help them stay in place too.

Sewn in cups are probably best. I was the same way too but they make it so tight to you up top and add in the cups it's actually super supportive.

It's a gorgeous dress? Can I ask why you are against the sewn in cups? It really looks like that might be your best option, and you wouldn't have to worry about them moving around or sliding down at the wrong moment.

They have cheap ones on Amazon so if you can afford it, I'd try them prior for a day just with a normal shirt and see how you like them! I got pasties on Amazon for a bridesmaids dress and they worked great.

Oh definitely, mine have never shifted around *unless* I started really sweating (TMI haha) but like you said the tight bodice will help keep them in place in case that happens.

Because I don't have a seamstress in the area I can trust to do it. The first dress I picked is still at the seamstress (3 months now). Also, I've had them before and they didn't give me the support I'm looking for.

I have several of the stick on bras. I bartended a lot in backless shirts. Totally comfortable, they last forever... and ill tell you- if they'll hold all night running around a hot bar, they'll do just fine for a wedding and reception.

Sidenote: I'm an ALMOST b-cup- I need the help too 🤣🤣

Built in bras are going to give you a lot more support than a sticky bra will, and it is going to be a lot more comfortable. If you are really against a built in bra, I would start trying out sticky bras now and just try different ones until you find one you like. I've personally tried close to 10 different kinds and I hated every single one.

I’ve tried sticky cups before and honestly that’s what I’m going to do! They work well even if you sweat and they’re reusable! They sell them on amazon but I bought mine at target for pretty cheap

I LOVE sticky boobs! Literally love them, I wear them all of the time, especially in the summer with weird cut shirts. I have one that makes a push up affect and it works perfect. I usually buy mine from Target for about $14 each. You can always buy 1 or 2 to try out before the day!
