Under Half a Month Left and I'm Driving Myself Crazy!

Light, on October 16, 2020 at 1:46 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9

I'm getting married on Halloween, and I am driving myself crazy. I keep looking over decorations in stores, because I'm afraid nothing is good enough and I am driving myself insane with Honeymoon budgeting. We already have $900 to spend, but I've never gone on a vacation for more than three days because I always feel like I'm going to get really bored.

Anyone else overthinking everything?

Breathe! It's going to be ok!

    Yes, overthinking is my specialty.

At this point, you've paid people to provide a service for your wedding, so remind yourself that it's their job now!

Woah that's a lot of overthinking. I recommend you stop looking at stores. Many ppl make the mistake of looking at pintrest too many times.

Yea I over think everything too, my fiance loves to tease me about it. We got our planning binder from our venue a few days ago I swear I've read through it multiple times and have like 2 pages worth of questions written down already lol. Remember to take a step back and relax everything will turn out great.

My binder drove me nuts, especially with the fliers.

I want it to come like right now yet I’m not completely compared. Since we did a mini wedding with 30 people snd saved the 85 for next year, even that has been hard. Having to make lists and stuff because our bugger wedding is a venue that has a package and we are saving our photo and video for next year and dj and everything and just kinda doing a legal ceremony this year with a small gathering and then hopefully next October covid restrictions in NY won’t be so bad because there’s no dancing and masks on unless eating so I didn’t wanna pay all this money to watch my wedding with people sitting around in masks bored and pay for a dj when no one can dance snd stuff. I even saved my ballgown dress snd got a dark red for this year. I keep procrastinating too 🤦‍♀️

I made a check list of things I have to work on (the brides speech, seating chart, ext) and divided them up for each week until the wedding. For each week, I'm only allowing myself to focus on the designated tasks for that week. When the week is over, I move on to the next weeks task, and won't allow myself to go back on the previous tasks. That's helped me not over think things.
