Under garments

Katie, on February 14, 2018 at 8:47 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 39
Okay so this may sound somewhat tacky but has anyone or does anyone have a dress that they truly just can’t manage to wear undergarments with? My dress is so sleek, tight and has a lot of see through lace/detail that it’s going to be hard to wear any type of panties. Anyone else? I’ve even tried the no show, no seam nude colored underwear and you can still see the outline somewhere, whether it be the butt, the side where the see through lace is, front, something shows somewhere! What do I do? Go pantyless? I’m fine with no bra because obviously my seamstress can just sew cups into it so that’s no problem!

I go for it. No one will know because your dress is long.

I would ask your seamstress or go to a lingerie store and see if they know of a brand that would be able work.

I'm also a 36 DDD. Awesome you can go braless. I cant. I sadly lack a bit of natural support. I found a bustier that was in my size that shapes very well. I was very persistent to locate one

As you can see in the second photo, that’s with seamless underwear and your still able to see the seams. Those other lines are just from the slip part of the dress as this is before any type of alterations. It’s very form all the way down so I truly don’t think anybody would catch a glimpse of anything! 😨

I know lots of people who wear no underwear with dresses all the time, so it’s certain okay to do.
i, on the other hand, am SO uncomfortable without underwear, that style of dress would be a dealbreaker for me (haha it would also look terrible on my shape, but that’s besides the point!)

as long as you feel okay commando though, it’s certainly fine. Presuming it’s a long dress, all the goods are securely hidden away anyway Smiley winking

I can see what you mean now seeing the dress. It looks gorgeous!! Have you tried the panties that are more like bike shorts but thinner? Otherwise if you are comfortable with no panties and no garter toss (seems that would be risky) I say go pantyless

Mm yeah, the sides are too low, I think, for any kind of underwear. Was thinking a seamless thong might work in the second pic but I feel like the side straps would be visible because of that dip. I’d probably go without

that said there DOES EXIST some sort of stick on crotch covering “underwear” with no sides, but for the life of me I can’t really comprehend how it works or imagine it being good or comfortable. I think I’d rather go with nothing than explore that route (https://www.amazon.com/Braza-More-Panty-Lines-Strapless/dp/B00GDW6Q0C) seems more bizarre and uncomfortable to me than going commando, but it DOES exist!

Hey! You and I have the same dress. I am not wearing any bottoms under mine. I’m having cups sown in for the top. I tried it on with nude seemless bottoms at my fitting and you can still see it. The people at my bridal shop told me if I don’t want it to show I just have to suck it up and go without lol

Okay, now I don’t feel so alone in this! Lol, I guess I was just feeling a bit unsure, not so much insecure! I’m thinking to that once I get my actual dress and it is fitted perfectly, it’s going to be a bit more tighter and then you’ll really be able to see any type of under garments!

Definitely! I had a literal panic attack one night because I started thinking like what if my time of month decides to come while I’m in my wedding dress with nothing to catch it?! Or the fact that when I don’t wear undergarments I have to pee like every five minutes lol I just thank God it’s not poofy so I don’t have to fight through it to use the bathroom.
Are you doing a garter toss? I haven’t decided yet but I feel like my FH would have a heck of a time trying to get it because the dress is so slim and tight. Like not to be graphic but fitted, There isn’t exactly room for two down there lol I love this dress. It’s so incredibly beautiful! And pictures just don’t do it justice. It is STUNNING in person. THE perfect balance of elegant and bling!

My dress has sheer side panels that will show any type of undergarment so I’m going commando. The only person who will see under my dress is my FH So I’m not worried.

We have the same exact dress! I had my seamstress add a little bit more fabric to the breast area so she could sew in some cups. And like I stated before, I’m going commando. As Farr as my time of the month, im gonna wear a diva cup.

I looks like it sticks on the top and bottom, this might be something to try, I would definitely try it before the wedding day to see how it feels, it would be nice bc it gives a little bit of coverage, otherwise I would go commando and skip the garter toss
