Under eye bags :-(

April, on March 26, 2017 at 11:40 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 28

I'm hoping someone will have some advice for me or any other bride that struggles with this. I have bags under my eyes pretty much every day. The severity of it could be caused by stress, lack of sleep, or lack of hydration. I know the typical cucumbers, spoons, tea bags, and everything else that has been out there to suggest to diminishing the appearance. Done all of it. While it HELPS, I am looking for something more effective. Does anyone know of a non surgical way to help REALLY deflate these balloons under my eyes? I can't even find a surgical or non surgical technique. I am willing to go a little more risky if it means I finally look healthy in my face again. To have that on our wedding day would be amazing.

I swear by Nerium. Their products are scientifically proven, and offer a 30 day money back guarantee. I used to be a brand partner, but I've been too busy. Their website can suggest a BP in your area if you are interested Smiley smile ETA- their results are immediate and long term!

Only thing that works for me is putting an ice cube in a baggy and then placing it under each eye til the puffiness goes down. If it is something constant that doesn't ever go away even with help it might be fat build up. My mom had it and ended up needing to get her eyes done to get rid of it. She had a crazy amount of fat under her eyes. She had always looked like she never slept even tho she did so she knew it was something else. She looks great now, always looks rested. It's easy to find a surgical technique, you just contact a plastic surgeon

Thanks! I'm not familiar with Posh. I'll look into that. I tried Nerium. Couldn't stand the smell. Trying to figure out a more long term solution as opposed to temporary.

@April, Posh is amazing. I'm sorry I can't find the pictures of my results but I normally see results within 15 mins and it looks like he bags were never there! Posh has other great skincare products too. They are all under $25 too. If you have questions, please let me know.

Are the bags dark? Does makeup help?

Eye bags are hereditary in mine too... that's why I'm pretty sure I'm going to need surgery like my mom did >_<

Models use hemorrhoid cream for under eye puffiness. I swear by alum. You can buy it in the spice aisle at the grocery store. I mix a little (it's like a white powder) with water and make a paste. Put it on then brush the powdery part off when it dries. It really firms the skin. Even helps with wrinkles. Lasts a few hours. Google it.

Mrs Calderon, what surgery? I haven't found any that actually talk about depuffing the eye. I don't have dark circles. I literally have puffiness. Makeup doesn't hide that especially at an angle. I think mine are hereditary as well. But my stress levels don't help. How do you "follow" a thread?

Just as an FYI, don't put hemorrhoid cream under your eyes. It contains hydrocortisone cream, and it's not good to use steroid creams on areas of thin skin for long periods of time

My best friend has bags with dark circles and she gets derma filler injections. It works well for her.

You can use an eye cream and cold globes. The cold globes help with deeper penetration of the eye cream. Just make sure to wrap the globes with cling wrap to prevent any cold burns.

While I agree that hydrocortisone cream is HORRIBLE to use long term, Preparation H is not hydrocortisone cream. No matter which type you get, it has something in it called "Phenylephrine Hydrochloride" which is a decongestant that shrinks the areas you put it on, which is why it helps with under eye bags. It does help tighten the bags temporarily, but it isn't something that works super long term.

@OliviaP, that sounds like the right thing to do, huh? Unfortunately I can't reverse what's already been done. But I am doing my best to do what I can now.

@Lori--some preparation H creams have hydrocortisone in them, particularly the anti itch stuff Smiley smile

Filler (Juvederm, Restaylane) can fix that if you want to go the injection route.

I too suffer with this problem... Noticed them around 17 and they just keep getting worse. I notice that they are bigger the more I weigh.

@pnb84, I stand corrected, I was only thinking of the regular creams not anti-itch. So, @April, if you do use it for bags, make sure you don't get the anti-itch cream.

Ive heard caffeine works. Soak coffee grounds in coconut oil and rub under eyes at night.
