This is for anyone who's interested in saving money on attire and flowers. If minimalism isn't your thing, skip this.

Shoes: Most white shoes will work. If you don't have any, Asos and Threadup cycle through them pretty often.
Jewelry: Unnecessary, but pearl studs are fine if you feel naked without jewelry. The look is not about jewelry.
Hair: GIANT beehive. The bigger, the better.
Makeup: 60s - either super-exaggerated twiggy look or neutral look. Minimal/ French girl makeup works too, depending on if you want to draw more attention to the hair. Emphasis on the eye lashes and a nude lip.
Bouquet: one flower - single magnolia, magnolia branch, calla lily, white orchid.
State parks are lovely, inexpensive, retro venues that flow into nature, following MCM philosophy. Select white, orange, ochre, or brown table linens, based on what looks good. Silver or gold-tone silverware. Simple white china. A single flower, matching the bridal bouquet, in a tall clear vase as the centerpiece. Only have ceremony or reception indoors if the building is retro and has wood paneled walls. If you're doing an indoor ceremony and a smaller wedding, cool MCM bars run for a few hundred on Facebook marketplace.
