Ulta beauty makeup

Meghan, on October 16, 2016 at 10:04 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

I'm having my engagement shoot on the 29th and am going to ulta beauty to have my hair and makeup done. I would have gone to sephora, but they've been open less than a year in my area and said they're not allowed to do makeup trials until they've been open at least a year Smiley sad . Has anyone had a makeover through ulta, did you like it? Let me know! Show pics!

I did my e-pic makeup at Ulta. It was decent and relatively inexpensive. I was going for natural and romantic. (This isn't a great pic, but it's the one that shows my makeup best.)

    Did they do fake lashes?

Oh, @Meghan I should've mentioned that. At least at my Ulta, the regular makeup appointment through the salon does NOT include fake lashes. I had to have them done at the Benefit counter and pay separately for it. I was actually super fucking annoyed, because the lashes were the main reason I paid to have my makeup done. For e-pics, I honestly could've done the rest myself. I was really mad.

I think it's a toss up. You could get someone great or someone that has no idea what they're doing. There's no way to know before hand.

@flighty I'd be pissed. But I'm not expecting fake lashes this time around, certainly not when they seem to charge for every little extra.

My sister had a trial done at Ulta, but decided to do her own, I think she decided it was too much money.

Honestly getting it done at Sephora vs Ulta makes absolutely no difference. They all have their certificates and have taken the mandatory skill classes. It matters on the person and their skill level.

Hopefully I'll like whoever does it and can request them later!
