You should be able to use any venue that can safely and comfortably accommodate 100 or more guests.

We had less than 100 people attend even though we planned for closer to 120+. We got married a hotel and the ceremony was in the lobby. We just had to give them a final headcount and they set up the number of chairs we needed. The reception was in the grand ballroom. The ballroom could be sectioned off into three separate rooms, but we choose to use all three rooms and make it on huge ballroom otherwise other events could have been hosted in whatever shows we didn't use which would have met random people walking through where our cocktail hour was hosted which was in a pre-function area right outside the ballroom. The ballroom with all three rooms could hold up to 500 people. With less than 100, it gave us plenty of room for the buffet, 14 round guest tables, our sweetheart table, our candy bar, photo booth, our DJ to set, and a large dance floor without looking like it was too big or overcrowded. Friends of ours got married at a smaller venue and everything felt so crammed and they didn't even have room in the space to have a photo booth like they originally planned. I think it is better to have extra room than not enough. I would continue looking because not all venues have a number of guests required. I know some we looked at did, but we passed on those because we didn't want to accidentally be under the minimum. Ours had a food/beverage minimum.

Try community centers, fire halls, or hotel ballrooms. I feel like the 100 guest list minimum is usually with country clubs etc

National parks usually don’t have a minimum and restaurants with private rooms have small minimums (ours was 38).

Right!!! It is indeed difficult. You have to get creative. Consider renting out an art gallery or yoga studio.

You should be able to find a venue for less than 100 people, many I looked at had a 60 person minimum. Where do you live?

Omg I feel you, I found so many venues I loved that required a minimum of 100-150 person guest count for catering. That makes it impossible to have an affordable wedding! Keep looking, you'll find one eventually!

Eventective.com and peerspace.com are mostly 100 guests or fewer.

Are you asking for a non-Saturday night? We had the same issue with our local reception (only 50 guests). You may have better luck with a Sun-Thur (or maybe Friday).

I feel you. Searching for a venue for 65 people was hard. Most were too small (think elopement/micro wedding), or a room with nothing in it, or had minimum of 100 on the weekends, or required you to spend money in some other way like catering or booking all rooms for 2 nights. The only success I had getting a normal wedding venue with no sneaky tactics was booking a Thursday.

A fellow Long Islander!! Harbor club at prime definitely does under 100. Also look into East Wind and Coral house. I know old field club is a relatively small venue so I would check there. The Garden city hotel may also be a good option.
