My mom called this morning asking if I can make her dress for my wedding. She proceeds to tell me she wants a sundress... Ummmm no mom, first my wedding is semi formal, second when am I supposed to do that? I just sent her an Amazon list of appropriate dresses. Maybe she will get the hint.

I think sending her some affordable and appropriate dresses and telling her you don’t have the time to commit to making her dress is the right thing to do.

Hey Selena!
You can simply explain to your mom that you have a lot going on and don’t think you have the time to dedicate to making her a dress. You could mention that you don’t want to commit to something and end up disappointing her. Maybe you could offer to spend an afternoon shopping with her, or finding some options online.
Do you make clothes often? That is such an amazing skill!
