Ugh..engagement pics ;(

Gina, on November 22, 2014 at 10:27 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

So we did our engagement pictures today....30 degrees out and windy. My hair was all over the place, and it was sooooo cold. I saw some of the pictures and wasn't loving them, but we'll see after she photoshops them. Crossing my fingers!!

I hope they turn out okay, usually it's not too hard if a strand is in your face to photoshop it out. Or if it's really cold and your nose turns red (like mine does) that's also an easy fix. I hope it turns out okay, but I'm sure it was hard to look happy with it being so cold!

Haha yeah it was definitely hard to pose and be happy. They were supposed to be two weeks ago, and it was gorgeous that day. The photographer had an emergency, and we had to reschedule for today. I'll post when I get them!

I am sure there will be some great pics! I have seen amazing ones when there are rain storms, or crazy wind patterns.

I hope they come out okay! I had my bridal portraits last week in windy 50 degree weather and it was AWFUL! I can't imagine having to look happy in windy 30 degree weather! I'm sorry things worked out that way for you. Smiley sad

Omg I had an awful session a month ago. I had the flu earlier in the week and then had an awful spa experience and the clothing I wore really wasn't flattering at all. I bawled when I saw them ; ( Our redo is tomorrow

I'm a little worried from ours, they're a week from today, and are both indoors and outdoors. In the last week, it's ranged from 18 degrees to 65, with sun and rain, and who only knows what it'll be doing in a week!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that's felt this way! I told her if I'm not happy with the pics that I'll want to redo them in the spring. I wonder if they charge?

We took ours on a beautiful sunny day in May, but it also decided to be horrifically windy that day too (out of no where!). My hair was sticking to my lip gloss, and the curls I put in my hair were nothing but waves by the end of it. But all-in-all, we had a lot of fun and most of them came out great. I'm sure yours will too Smiley smile Here's a pic from the end of the day (my hair totally wind blown), but it quickly became one of my favs, and we actually ended up using this pic at our wedding entrance!

It rained (twice) on the day we took ours and was humid as hell....the beach waves that I had in my hair were totally gone and $120 wasted...some of the photos looked good, some of the photos looked bad. I thought about talking to FH about redoing them but I was lucky to get him to go once. A second time was not going to happen....

Honestly I think we are all just hard on ourselves because we have these photos built up in our head. They aren't that big of a deal in all actuality...we just make them that way and stress ourselves out like crazy over them!

Agreed with Maltese. I wasn't super thrilled with mine... it wasn't the weather, just how I looked in them. I hate saying that because it wasn't the photographer's fault; she did a great job. She's such a fantastic photographer that I had this pipe dream of really hot pictures... and then... meh. Really, if you get a couple of good shots, that's enough.

We took our engagement photos in 107 degree weather, the week leading up to it was in the 80s so we though we would get good weather. Needless to say we were sweating like crazy, I was so scared the photos would be horrible, but they turned out to be really good. My hair started getting puffy towards the end and messed up a few really cute pics, but we also have a ton of other pics to use.
