Typing my resignation letter and feel like crying

Maru, on November 9, 2010 at 6:58 PM Posted in Planning 0 12

I have worked in the same place for 5 years I just told my supervisor today and her eyes got watery. OMG I feel like crying myself. Luckly Im not leaving because of any drama or because I dont like my job...I was offfered another position to work with young adults and I took since I enjoy working with youth. I am still very nostalgic!

Congratulations on your new job, and I know the feeling of leaving a job you loved, but not because of the job, I left a job I loved to move with FH, I loved that job but the move was totally worth it.

Congrats on the new job! I understand entirely how you feel. I put in my resignation three weeks ago and my boss also was teary eyed. I had been at my place of employment for 41/2 years. I ended up working an extra day last week for my boss (her father in law passed away and so even though I was already finished working, I picked up an extra day) and almost cried as I handed my keys over and walked out the door. My co-workers were like family to me and I already miss them greatly! However, I had to move on as I am moving in with FS two hours away!

Fun bride T. Hopefully you filed for unemployment-you can you know.

Maru...So sad and happy at the same time. The good is that you will be making a difference in so many lives and something that you can will hopefully love and still know that you have all those friends and the job you left. Congratulation on both.
