Typical size for a Grooms cake

Ajoi, on February 1, 2018 at 8:59 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 3
I am thinking of surprising my FH with a Groom's cake at the reception. I know I want a two tier round cake. However, I have no idea how many servings it should be. What sizes did anyone with a Grooms cake go with?

I’m also doing a grooms cake. And I’m doing a 2 tier one. We LOVE MX but I want my wedding to be fancy. A lil bit of 1920’s style in it. But I’m going to get him one with ALL MX stuff. He will be super stoked. Lol

There will be a Cookie Table (FH is from Pittsburgh) in addition to a 6-tier, five flavors, cupcake stand at the wedding. So we decided to have the groom's cake at the RD instead. I went with a regular 10-inch cake but there will also be other desserts served as well. We are expecting about a 100 guests (OOT guests are invited).

I'm debating is I want to do a groom's cake. I brought up the idea up to FH and he was like "we get a cake?" So I don't know if he'll be surprised or not lol
