Hayley - I was wondering what types of candy... I have about 10 different vases and I couldn't come up with more than 5 so I wanted to know what other kinds were out there and what is the most common or what people like...

Mrs Van Blargan -- Thanks! All those sound very good! I would have never thought of some of those!!

Do you have a certain color palette to match? I would suggest Skittles, M&M's, Mints, Pixie sticks, gummi bears, etc. Def check out the website that Hayley left you! There's a ton of ideas on there! Smiley smile

My colors are blue and yellow, so I am going with the Jelly Belly jelly beans, lemon heads, skittles, licorice, m&m's, peppermints, lollipops and probably whatever else I can find in those colors.

I have all of the candy I used posted here: http://genevieveswedding.blogspot.com/2010/05/candy-buffet.html

I had tons of different candies so everyone could find something they loved! I just made sure to pick all wrapped candy so people didn't have to worry about germs.

    Hi Kim!

I would suggest to make your selection considering your environment. Your wedding reception will be outdoor?

I'm doing a candy bar as my favors! The candies Im considering are: Tootsie Rolls, Pixy Stixs, Sour Patch Kids (or sour watermelon...yummy), Gummy Bears, Swedish Fish (mini), Mike & Ikes, Skittles, Sweetarts, Lemon Heads (my fav), Candy Corn (my fiancee's fav), Hershey Kisses, Reese's Pieces, and/or Hot Tamales (again the boy's fav). Trying to choose 8 or so from this list. Going to put them in bowls and have little plastic scoops (so no one should get their germy hands on all the candy) and each guest can scoop what they want into little bags. I would advise having some sort of chocolate, something fruity, maybe something sour but most of all just choose your favorite candies!

Rock Candy in the color theme and Gummy Bears, Hershy's kisses to name a few. However keep in mind due to the Coronavirus going on you may want to use candies that are individually wrapped. Here is a sample of how you may plan on setting up your candy buffet. Enjoy the journey!!

That is a great suggestion being the state that we are now living in.
