Type of Bra to wear while Dress shopping/Wedding Day?

What type of bra should I wear when trying on dresses? Many people have suggested corsets or strapless. I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. I'm a bigger chested woman. 38C to be exact. I just don't want everything spilling out or show to much. Thanks in advanced

I bought a strapless bra but DB actually provided me a nice bra/corset combo, if I was trying on any open back dresses I'd go braless.

Omg! Thank you for asking this! I go wedding dress shopping on Saturday and I'm "blessed" in that area too. I pretty much wear wireless and sports bras. So good to know they can see in cups!!!

Definitely strapless. If you are concerned about spilling, maybe wear the clear straps for support. You don't need to get the fancy/scary undergarments until you've picked your dress, so you know if you need a low back, plunge, etc. Good luck and have fun shopping! (edit autocorrect)

I was the same cup size as you when I tried on dresses. I wore a strapless bra. I've lost weight and almost an entire cup size now & I'm not wearing a bra under my dress on my wedding day.

I just bought my dress last week and the consultants at all 3 shops had me take my bra off to try on dresses. Most of them actually have a built in bra and you can have one added in alterations so don't have to wear one on your wedding day. I'm a 34DD so I can vouch that they were supportive enough without wearing a bra.

I wore a white strapless bra when i tried on gowns. Any strapless bra would work really.

32DD and I plan on bringing a few with me. I'll bring a strapless, regular, and a corset I usuallyy wear when I need strapless. It's hard to rely on a regular strapless bra to actually hold me in.

I agree with @FutureMrsComo 110 percent!! Make sure you are wearing some nice panties. The ladies helping you get in and out of your dresses need to get all up in there sometimes to tie things or fix things and you definitely want to be wearing a nice pair. This is something no one talks about and I'm glad it was mentioned for those that have yet to try on dresses.

    I'm a 34D and I didn't wear anything. I preferred no bra
