Tying in Cultures

Danielle, on December 22, 2019 at 1:18 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4
My fiancé is from the UK and I am from Texas. I was wondering if anyone had creative ideas on how to tie our cultures and long distance relationship together? My color theme is blush, neutrals, and greenery. I am trying to stay away from red, white, and blue. My only idea so far is to have a dessert table and mix British and American desserts in through out the table. I would love more ideas to help us make our wedding a little more personal to us while still fitting the color theme.

Instead of table numbers you could have your favorite places/landmarks

We had a traditional British fruitcake (nothing at all like the American variety!) as the top layer on our wedding cake. We had a Welsh love spoon as our cake topper. Our rings were Welsh gold.

You could also have a traditional British drinks as one of your signature drinks.

I wouldn't worry about red, white, and blue. Those are, after all, the colors of the British flag, too.
