Two Wedding Bands

Nicole, on January 20, 2020 at 8:50 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 21

Long story short, I technically have two wedding bands. I loved the idea of having identical bands (one on top and bottom of my engagement ring). I absolutely LOVE them, but now I'm not sure how to coordinate with 3 different rings on my wedding day. Both of my parents think I should get them soldered together before the wedding to make it easier.... Does anyone else have stacked bands? How did you wear them for the ceremony?

Just have your FS slide them all on stacked together or have them put one band on and add the third after the ceremony.

Daughter just has two bands, her wedding & engagement rings, but they both have a LOT of design and small diamonds. They drove her crazy if all the designs weren't aligned exactly right. Anticipating that they'd get photographed a lot on the wedding day, she went ahead and had them soldered a week or two before the wedding so they'd look perfect in all the pictures. She wouldn't have worn them separately, so it made sense for her. If you plan to always wear all three and want them soldered, then it might make sense to do it before the wedding, but if you're not sure, I'd either either wear your engagement ring by itself or with the third ring on your right hand, and then add it/them to either the single or double wedding band your husband puts on your finger during the ceremony. Congrats!

I’m also getting two wedding bands, two different ones to put under my engagement ring. I don’t plan on getting my rings soldered as I may want to wear them separate sometimes. At the wedding my fiancé will just put both bands on me at the same time.

Thank you! I have been thinking alot about wearing two of them down the aisle and then having him put on the last band and the ceremony. I'm afraid if we tried to put them on all at once one of them will get dropped. Haha! Smiley smile

I’m having mine soldered together before the wedding. Here’s a pic when I tried them on. Love the double band look. Pay no attention to my sad little pinky 😂Two Wedding Bands 1

I love the look as well. I would probably get them soldered together so you won't lose any of them. For me, I couldn't find any bands that I liked with my ring and I didn't want to get two of them so I opted to get an enhancer instead. Still get the same effect.

I had mine soldered before the wedding. I had it done a couple weeks before the wedding so I was ringless and it was driving me crazy but looking back if I wouldn't have done it before I would have done it after the wedding and I would have been worse to be without it while it was getting done then.

My fiancé originally bought two identical bands to have soldered on both sides of my engagement ring. However, it wasn’t really my style (he got a really good deal on them when he purchased my ring, so he felt obligated to buy them). Recently he agreed to purchase an accent band to be added. So now I will have my engagement ring with 3 bands soldered together. Some people may think it’s crazy, but I love it! Side note: The bands in this picture are not mine. We made a random stop at Zales so that my fiancé could understand what look I wanted. Two Wedding Bands 5

I also have a 3-ring set. However I’ve been wearing all 3 rings since the proposal 😉. Having multiple bands isn’t difficult or a hassle at all. Actually I love having the multiple bands and LOVE my rings!

For the wedding, I’ll probably take off one of the bands and simply have it slipped on during the ceremony. OR, I’ve also been thinking about getting a fourth diamond band in a different style, for variety.
But, no I’ll never solder the rings together. I like the freedom of mixing and matching the order to create different looks. I also like changing the number of rings I wear, depending on where I’m going or what I’m doing.

If you are doing a first look, you can have him put the first one on then (the one closest to your hand) and then have him put the second (outside) one on during the ceremony. That would give some really neat pictures for a first look, and not take away from the significance of your ceremony.

My FH fell in love with the double band when the jeweler suggested I try it out. I just wanted one bad but I must say I fell in love with the it once they were on my finger. During the ceremony I will have my engagement ring on the opposite ring finger so that he can slip both bands on during the ceremony. After the ceremony I will put the engagement ring on top of the bands as its supposed to be worn.

Have 1 band and your e-ring on then your FH will slide the last band on during the ceremony to make the set complete. I have stacked bands as a simpler alternative to my e-ring and wedding band. I have my wedding band then have 2 separate infinity bands to pair with it during trips when I don't want to risk losing my e-ring or having it stolen. I obviously won't have them soldered together. I only wore my e-ring for the ceremony then switched the band to the back afterwards.
