Two time postponers?

Jessie, on July 21, 2020 at 9:55 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 4
Anyone else who has postponed two times or more? What as your original dates and new date? How's your experience going? How are people reacting? How are YOU feeling?

1st date: 6/12/202nd date: 9/25/203rd date: 5/28/21
We're still hopefully getting legally married in September, and having a small dinner with our wedding party and immediate family. I'm still having my shower in August. Everyone is saying we made the right choice, but the anxiety in me is thinking people are annoyed. I felt relieved at first, but once I realized the wedding is TEN months away, I got super depressed. It sucks because we planned everything a year in advance, everything seemed to be going so well, and then THIS. I just want our dream day to happen.
Just want to have an open discussion with fellow brides who understand this craziness! I'm praying for all of us, keep your heads up.♡

Yes! We were originally 4/4/20, then we moved it to this past weekend 7/18 but since the cases spiked here in texas, we had a small back yard wedding and we had to push the big one to next year as a 1 yr anniversary party.

Originally July 23rd, postponed to August 4th because of quarantine requirements in Hawaii, but turns out the requirements got extended. Now I am not deciding any date until I am sure covid is not a problem anymore. This could means months..... We ordered cake, and will have photoshoot this 23rd, and will have our intimate “reception”. So, when we get our renewal we won’t need to have a reception, just ceremony and honeymoon can start right after.

Feeling the same way. Wedding was supposed to be 4/19. We got legally married that day which was amazing. The reception was rescheduled for 10/23. Unfortunately most of my husband's family is from Canada and the border is closed, so we are going to have to cancel that. I am 31 and we really want to start having kids and the continuous postponing is making me so stressed. My husband just wants to cancel all together and while I'm happy we got legally married, it isn't the same as having a wedding, especially since we planned one for 18 months and then had to cancel it one month out. It is very hard to not feel discouraged.

You'll find that many brides are in the same boat as you. My first wedding date was 4/25, then postponed to 8/29 but my venue cancelled us again (the venue was at a casino and they regulated by the state AND gaming board). But I managed to find another venue and keep my date! So fingers crossed we make it through August Smiley atonished
