Two Tiered Veil

Jess D, on October 8, 2014 at 3:58 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

So I'm looking for a two tiered veil so my face will be covered as im walking down the aisle,

I was wondering if you ladies know anywhere to find that at a very low cost..

my mom saw veils at Ac Moore, but you have to attach it yourself (it doesnt have a clip thing that would go in your hair.)

I think what you want is a veil with a blusher, you could try doing a search for that. Sorry I'm not more help

I bought my veil from this etsy seller: http://www.etsy.com/shop/abusymother

she has a bunch of different lengths, one tier/two tier, etc. they are reasonably priced and they she can make them in four different colors.

You can add a blusher to almost any veil. Your local bridal shop should be able to do it if you have your dress alterations there as well!

I'm going to try making one. I found one, a "drop circle veil" that is literally an oval piece of tulle that you attach with a comb or a hat pin. You have the blusher in the front and then flip it back for the second tier. I bought the supplies and I'm going to make it soon. So far the cost is $11. Lets see how much it goes up if I mess up! Either way, the plain cathedral length ones I like are at least $100 at the store. For $11, it can't hurt to try it myself!

You could buy a regular veil and go to a seamstress and ask to add in a layer. That's what I did with my veil. I bought it from the same place as my dress, and I asked them to add an extra layer to it. It was perfect.

My mom is making mine for me. she is cutting a piece of tulle in a circle, then folding it not perfectly in half, but a little less so one side is shorter, and attaching it to a comb. its pretty easy to attach to the comb too. the top of the comb is wrapped in white/ivory ribbon, and then you take where you folded the tulle, bunch it together and take a needle and stitch it onto the comb by wrapping it around the part you wrapped in ribbon. then the shorter piece is what i will put in front of my face. The cost of making the entire veil is about $10 and this way it will be EXACTLY the length i want it. I went to davids bridal and took pictures of how their veils are attached to the combs so I could copy that. I attached them for you. hope that helps Smiley smile

I've heard davids bridal has some that aren't too expensive especially when they have their sells going on

My mom made mine for me as well. It would've been very easy and not stressful if she hadn't waited till the night before to finish it. You can somewhat see it in this picture. (No pro pics yet)

I bought two but will only use one. I could just sell you the one I'm not using!

I bought mine off Etsy. It arrived within a week. Great seller. It was priced based on length. I paid $64. What is your perspective of not expensive?

My 2-tier came with my dress, but did not come with anyhting to attach to my hair. I believe that you *can* just use bobby pins, but I sewed mine to a hair comb that I found at a drug store. Super easy.

Also bought mine on Esty, www.etsy.com/shop/terihuang

The seller I bought from to me was very reasonable and had lots of selections, also sells jewelry. She also was able to send me samples so I could match my dress.

I got my veil at DB. It was mulit-tiered, though I didn't use it as a blusher.
