Two Invitations?

For our wedding, we are planning to have only family at our ceremony then for reception, we were going to have an open house for anyone who wants to come! I am wondering if I should make separate invitations for the open reception so people don’t try to come to our ceremony. Thoughts?

    Yes, and the ceremony takes place in the same room as the reception.

    Yes, you should have separate invitations and a buffer time between the ceremony and reception so that reception guests don’t show up in the middle of the ceremony.

    Yes definitely! I also agree with having buffer time that way people if they come early won't see your at your ceremony

    Yes. One for the wedding. And one for the reception stating that it will follow a closed family only ceremony.

    Yes you definitely need two invitations and give some time in between. My son and his wife did something similar and it all worked out but they could have left a bit more time in between because most guests show up early and we weren’t quite finished. Good luck

    I'd print two invitations since they are two guest lists.
