Two ceremonies

It’s not weird, but only one of them will be a legal ceremony and you should be honest with your family about what they’re attending.

I was thinking maybe the legal one would be the public one and the other would be sentimental and personal.

We're doing that so I don't think it's weird at all. We really wanted to have a private ceremony first, mostly because of the date. The more we thought about it the more it just made sense to have that intimate moment before we do it all in front of a bunch of people. It just seems to fit for us. If it fits for you too, go for it!!!!

Not really the same, but my friend is Christian and her husband is Muslim so they had at least two ceremonies. I guess what I mean is that if you want to ceremonies and can afford it I dont see the problem with it 😊

How about a first look that you say things privately. You can call or do whatever you want. It’s your day.

No, that's not weird at all. I've known plenty of people who did a private legal ceremony and then had a reception the weekend afterwards.

I say go for it! I would love to do the same. It just fits us so perfectly.
