Tux/suit shopping

My FH and I went together. He has horrible fashion sense and most of his groomsmen are out of town.

He can go with whoever he wants. Unless he specifically asks you to come, you shouldn’t. He can pick his own attire the same way you pick yours. It’s typically done much closer to the wedding than dress shopping since tuxes don’t take 6+ months to come in.

No right or wrong way to do this, but whatever he wants. My husband went alone, decided on an outfit. Then told his guys what to get.

Suit time is independent of dress time (one doesn’t affect the other), but typically suits are dealt with after the dress because typically dresses take a long time to come in and suits don’t work the same way. My husband dealt with attire a month or two before the wedding.

FH and I went together because he wanted my opinion. He told the guys after to go on their free time to get fitted.

My FH and I went together since he asked me to come. He got a custom tux, and ordered it way too early. While I gave some opinions or suggestions, the ultimate choices were his, including the decision to get it this early. When it comes in, we will take a look at groomsmen tuxes, and he plans to pick most of the details for those as well, possibly with one of them tagging along on that trip.

I went with H just to be sure the colors matched the bridesmaids dresses. I let him pick out everything else.

You can do whatever two of you want. There are no rules! It’s your FH & your wedding, make it the way you like it.

If he has a good sense of style then he can go on his own, if not then you can go with him. I went with my fiancé to make sure he didn’t choose leopard suit! Lol Also, i would defiantly go after you look for your dress. A dress takes months to come back, whereas a suit only takes a few weeks.
