Tux timeline?

Meaghan, on February 15, 2017 at 5:42 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

I'm sure many of you have used Men's Wearhouse. We have 5 groomsmen and 3 dads/stepdads between us. My fiancé and 3 of his 5 men have been measured. So has my dad. His dad has asked twice now if he should wear a suit or tux. I'd *like* him to wear a tux but at the end of the day, it's up to him. FH and I put him in the reservation group just in case. So that's 3 men (4 if you count stepdad but I think he's sticking with a suit). What do you think the latest is the guys can go measure? We marry April 29. We have sent 2 group emails already "reminding". One was after New Years (the initial, "here's the group number"kind of thing). One was Feb 1. I'm thinking by March 1, send another reminder? Wedding invites just went out so that may remind some folks too...

Have you asked Men's Warehouse when the latest they can be measured? I would start there. Let FH handle this but also don't go crazy over it. You gave them the information in plenty of time. Just like we say with BMs if they don't do what they need to do in time, that's on them.

We're having the same issue right now. FH is worried that his best man won't go to get measured until a week before. I'd love an update if you talk to MW sooner than I do!

My husband and his groomsmen got theirs from a local shop. My husband got fitted about a month before our wedding and he didn't pick it up until 4 days prior to our wedding day.

Mens Warehouse told us the deadline is two weeks prior to our date, plenty of time.

I work at a tuxedo rental place and we always say they have at least two weeks before the wedding date. Of course we always suggest coming in sooner and say we would like to see them by a certain date, but if for whatever reason he can't come in till two weeks before that's fine.
