Tux Alternative

Asia, on March 20, 2017 at 11:49 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

I just wanted to share a wonderful thing with all of you. I really hope this tip helps you save a lot of money and is useful! Do not rent a tux! My fiancé and I decided instead of renting him a tux we would go to a suit shop (halbertsteads I think is the name) we found an amazing suit that is tailored perfectly! It makes so much more sense to invest in a nice suit that your groom can wear again (to another wedding, job interview, banquet, gala etc) than paying an insane amount for a rental that doesn't fit well and is only worn once. It was a little more money to buy a suit but prices vary! I seriously could not stress this enough I am so glad we bought him a suit rather than renting a tux! Hope this helps present some optionsSmiley smile this is the suit he picked-originally 600+ on sale for 300 (there are suits for less we just chose this one)

P.s mens warehouse is running a sale on vests now. In case you need them. 90$ marked down to 15$

    And very sharp.

Definitely give buying a tailored suit a thought before renting. So glad I did.

So is the groom not going to match any if the groomsmen? Having everyone in the wedding party in a different suit isn't going to look cohesive.

Also, most people are well aware a man should have a suit. This isnt a new thing. Its pretty much an essential clothing item for a male over 18 for job interviews.

Aw I was hoping for a cooler suggestion than just a suit.

That being said this has been our plan for months.

If you look online you can find great deals on tuxedos too. Thank goodness, because I have nine of 'em.

(And my groomsmen will wear lots of different tux styles because that's how I roll!)

Most suit shops or places you can get one matching color so it is still cohesive. Navy or black are pretty standard at just about any shop you go to.

My FH will actually be wearing a suit he wore for a wedding in November. Since I got a dress, I wanted him to feel pretty and special, too, but he insisted on getting some use out of it. Who am I to tell him no? Haha

A suit looks like a suit. A tux looks like a tux. If your level of formality does not require a tux, don't get a tux. If it does require a tux, there's no alternative to a tux.

But if you're a proponent of an adult man owning a properly tailored suit, well I'm all for that.
