Turks & Caicos

We’re going to Turks & Caicos at the beginning of next month for our honeymoon! We’re staying in an ocean view condo I found on Airbnb. We’re staying on Providenciales but are flying to Grand Turk one day to go snorkeling with humpback whales! Not sure when you’re going, but North American humpback whales migrate to TCI from December-April! I’m so excited for that! Thursday nights they have a Fish Fry with tons of food and vendors (everyone says you have to go to that). They have dogs that are native to TCI (potcakes), and a shelter called Potcake Place lets you walk them on the beach for a walk for a few hours a day. We’re planning on doing all of that!

Also, just realized we’re date twins! If you’re going down there at the very beginning of March, we’ll be there at the same time! 😬

Where are you staying in turks and caicos? im considering there as well

T&C is BEAUTIFUL. If you want to stay at a hotel, depending on budget, look at The Palms, Seven Stars, Alexandra is nicer lower-costing option. The only AIs really are Beaches & Club Med. I believe Alexandra offers an AI drink option as does Beach House & Blue Haven. I feel like maybe Royal West Indies just got an AI drink option also but unsure.

AI isn't really worth it in T&C in my opinion. We stayed at a rental property and loved it. If you are NOT staying at a resort (or even if you are and want to go outside of it), prepare to either 1) rent a car or 2)pay a TON for taxi's. If you rent a car, keep in mind they drive on the left side of the road.

We also did one full day pass at Club Med to gain access to the AI, and am so glad we did NOT stay there for the entire 8 days. The full day pass was expensive, but it was definitely a nice change of pace.

As you are planning your itinerary, for dinners and eating out, we went to to CoCo Bistro (Must make Reso way in advance), The Conch Shack, Bugaloos, Magnolia Wine Bar, and also loved Infiniti.

Depending where you stay, 100% DEFINITELY go spend at LEAST one full day out in Sapodilla Bay. It is a bit of a drive from Grace Bay, but we loved it way more. It has shallow waters (Talking, calf-hip deep) for the entire bay. Great for seeing crabs, stingrays, and also just for relaxing. It was by far our favorite part of the trip, and we went there three different days.

Be sure to go to the fish fry, I believe it's Tuesday nights....TONS of fun!

Also, for diving, we did Dive Provo, and had a great experience. I did not dive, but just hung out on the boat . We also went to Potcake Puppy Place and are obsessed. If you are animal lovers, definitely check that out.
