Tulle off shoulder straps or no? Wedding dress help!

Hi everyone! I want some opinions about alterations for my dress because I can't decide. So here is my ball gown dress It fit me perfect and I was able to walk out of the bridal shop with it so the only alterations I need are hemming it (I'm standing on the pedestal in this picture haha)....

Hi everyone! I want some opinions about alterations for my dress because I can't decide. So here is my ball gown dress Smiley love It fit me perfect and I was able to walk out of the bridal shop with it so the only alterations I need are hemming it (I'm standing on the pedestal in this picture haha). But I'm debating whether or not I want to add tulle off-shoulder sleeves/straps. Part of our theme is fairytale so I want my dress to be as princessy as possible, and I thought adding tulle sleeves would help! But I don't know if the dress would look better with or without it! So what do you ladies think would look best? Smiley heart

Here's what I'd be wanting for straps, just simple tulle and off shouldercfb_1074367.jpg

Thank you so much! I do love it without straps too Smiley laugh Because it was my size, it fits well in the chest so I wouldn't be hiking it up on the dance floor all day which is greatXD So even if I keep it strapless, it would still be comfortable!

Bam! Problem solved! I love this solution so you can have the pretty pictures and then remove when it’s time to hit the dance floor!

I'm a total sucker for these sleeves and am having some added! I haven't heard back from the tailor yet (which is making me nervous) but I say go for it!

Same here! Those sleeves are just gorgeous and add so much while being simple and elegant! Oh no I hope you hear back from them real soon, I'm sure it'll be okay Smiley smile

I think after seeing all the comments, I may in go with sleeves! Or at least have the seamstress simulate sleeves for me at my appointment.

I’ve seen removable ones on Etsy that are a simple button to take on and off, I’d ask about it!!

Absolutely gorgeous, Taylor!! Your dress is absolutely perfect by itself but I also love the idea of adding some tulle off-the-shoulder straps! I'm a huge fan of off-the-shoulder everything! No matter what, you'll like your straight out of a fairytale Smiley heart

I think the sleeves would add a little pizazz to the overall look. Congratulations on finding your dress 😃😃

I love the added straps!! And I didn't even think about how it might limit mobility but that's so smart that you can raise them up and down as needed!

They have those small jackets that look lacy and they can be taken off if you wanted to dance or have less atm restriction. But you would look great with those small shoulder things too.

I've seen those! They are so gorgeous! Funny story, one of my older clients at work heard I was getting married and she gave me her lacy jacket that she wore for her wedding day for me to take to my dress appointments to see if I wanted to wear it for my big day! It was the SWEETEST gesture! But the jacket was pretty dated, to say the least. It was very yellowed and it had shoulder padsXD But I do like the idea of a cute little lacy jacket! Thank you for the idea!!

    Tough decision!

I love it the way it is and think it would look with straps too!

I would suggest having your seamstress quick pin on some sample sleeves when you go for a fitting to see if you like the way it looks! Then if you want to keep them, she can make them permanent Smiley smile

Beautiful!! I would just be sure to see different tulle textures before making a decision on the shoulders!
