Trying to mimic this style

Alyssa, on January 8, 2021 at 12:12 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
I need everyone's help. I have done SO MUCH googling on how to mimic Lauren Conrad's veil hairstyle and my head is spinning. Time to ask the experts! I'll attach a picture of the look I want, but I'm confused on how exactly to do it. The hair piece she is wearing is very much outside my budget, but I'll attach a picture so you can see what type it is. I've been trying to find one similar and I think I have so I'll attach a picture of that as well. Things I need help with:

1. What type of veil is she wearing? I initially thought it was a mantilla, but it's sitting further back on her head than traditionally.
2. How is the veil attached to the hair piece? I truly don't understand veils and how they work 🤣. Everything I find online says that veils come on a comb. If that's true, is it possible to use the hair piece I found?
3. Do you think this hair piece would achieve a similar look to the inspiration photo? I've had a really hard time finding something that I think would sit on top of my head nicely. I'd love any suggestions!

Looks like sewn on the hair piece, but sewn that way I won’t have the veil long since it would easily ripped from the hair piece.

I think your best bet is if you are hiring a hair stylist to speak with him or her about what you are looking for and he or she should be able to point you in the right direction.

You could probably find a cute hair piece and bring it to the alterations people and see if they could attach the veil to it! Maybe ask them if it’s possible before you purchase one though. Good luck! It’s super cute!
