Trying to find a place to print boudoir photos

Rozenbook, on June 18, 2018 at 4:33 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 25
I was looking at shutterfly to print my boudoir photos I just recieved, but I'm hesitant.

I need something inexpensive since a lot of my money is going to the wedding already. The pics are a gift for FH

If you don't mind going to pick them up in person, Walgreens and CVS are very reasonably priced and they print within an hour. You can put them into an album yourself to give to him.

Agreed! Office Max or Office Depot has some good prices as well!

Even your local Wal-Mart will be able to print these out nicely. I plan on doing mine at Meijer.

Whoever prints your stuff is gonna see them. It’s just whether or not you wanna look that person in the eye as you pick them up, or pay to have them shipped.

Shutterfly constantly has coupons and sales - usually you can get 50% off if you try. If you're worried about privacy with Walgreens, Target, Walmart, etc. a lot of those places will ship them to you so you won't have to worry about them coming to your local store and having to see the clerk who might have seen them (in my town I used to know a lot of people that worked these jobs so I was always nervous to print anything embarrassing).

Otherwise, do you have a color printer? Photo paper is inexpensive if you can print at home, which eliminates this concern.

Doesn't the photographer who took the photos offer prints? That's the easiest and most private way to do it.

This, 100%. I would be super worried printing them at a CVS or any other big box store.

Do not, I repeat, do not go to Wal-Mart to print them. They will slap a pornography label on it and your picture will be black. I had a family member try this for her wedding.

Then why waste the customers money if they are going to be black?

She charges a lot per photo. I couldn't afford to get them all printed that way

Do you need every single photo to be printed? Why not just pick like the best 5 to print?

Aside from having a backup to reprint the 11 images I purchased, this is the one time I can really surprise him. I'm plane Jane and not very "colorful" involving this department. I went way out of my comfort zone to do this for him. I dont see him being as impressed or surprised if I dont give them to him all at once.

I used Shutterfly to print mine. They came out great and it was super affordable. If your worried about someone seeing them, no matter where they get printed someone will see them.

You can print them at cvs or walgreens yourself if you use the kisok. The cleck will only ask for your recepit that the kisok print so you can pay. Just download the photos to your phone or email and bring your phone charger with you so you can connect. Or you could down load the Kodak app i think. Try going to a 24 location in the middle of the night so other customers cant see what you are doing because its less traffic.

Although I understand your privacy concern, many CVSs have DIY kiosks now. If your boudoir photographer gave you a flash drive or if you have them on your pc and can put them on a drive, you can go to the kiosk, plug it in and print yourself! The only people that would see is if you walked away or pulled it up in the screen in full size. The cashier simply asks for the receipt to charge you like ^^Lolly said ☺️ And it’s pretty affordable

A little known fact is that if you get photos from Wal-Mart, you only pay for the ones you keep. I work at one and have a friend in the photo lab. Family friendly photos only. Not even a breastfeeding one where just the curve of a breast is seen.

Don't use a "cheap" photo printing company (snapfish, shutterfly, etc.) or instant kiosks (cvs, walmart, etc.) - they won't do your photos justice as they aren't calibrated as precisely as possible. Nations Photo Lab is a professional quality lab, you can order prints and beautiful albums from online. Albums start at $99 and are great quality!

As a photographer, I understand that not every client can order prints from me. However, picking out one or two of your favorite ones and having it professionally printed will give you the most of your money.

Cheap prints will not live up to the work your professional photographer put into those photos, neither for the money you invested to have them taken.

Color correction, color aberration, all of those happen on cheap labs and it's sad to see it!

Make your efforts and money count and have it done by your photographer - it will be absolutely worth it.
