Trying Dresses on for First time, what to expect?

I knew where I wanted to buy my dress from so I went on the website and looked at dresses in my budget and that caelme in my size. I knew the look I was going for and saved a few dresses in that style. When I got to the boutique I showed the consultant some of the photos and told her what I liked and she took me and my sister to the section of dresses for me and we picked out a few. Two of them were the ones I showed her and 2 others. The dress that I loved was the first one I tried on that I saw on the website. I tried on the others to be sure but went back to the first one which I purchased.

I'd say know what you like but also be open to other options. You never know how something might look on you or how you might not actually like what you thought you might. Like PP said above, don't buy it if you don't love it. And if there is something you may want to change to make it "the" dress, ask if it can be changed. Maybe you like the dress but the detail on the bottom is a little too much. Maybe they can take some of the beading off or something. Never hurts to ask. Good luck! I hope you find "the one!"

I am too! I actually went with a sweetheart neckline and am having sleeves added, the "swoopy" draping sleeves. My dress is a ballgown! Which is crazy because I am the one that wanted "just any dress" and "nothing crazy", but I put it on and the tears came so I knew it was it.

Go in with an open mind, what you think you will like isn't going to look the same on you as on the model. Remember wedding dresses run small really small! if you know the type of shoes you are going to wear take those it helps. If you take people with you keep it small, make sure its people that won't pressure you into something, honestly is the key. Remember it is your day and your dress. pick your dress make sure you are happy
