Troubled groomsmen
My fiancé and I have been engaged for a year and half while he has been going through the classes for us to get married in the Catholic Church. It’s been a long time coming and we’re excited for the wedding however one of his friends has recently gotten engaged and is messing up his plans with his groomsmen for bachelor parties and other festivities. His friends wedding is the end of June and has just book his bachelor party a fairly expensive cruise for the week before my fiancés bachelor party in March we get married in April. All of the groomsmen are in the same friend group and work for the same company so there’s no way they will all be able to go both my fiance has had his bachelor party planned since May of last year it’s to go to a horse race so there’s dates aren’t changeable for it. The friend said it was the only weekend they could have his but due to things that have happened in the past it feels like he intentionally did it so they can’t go to my fiancé’s. I feel bad for my fiancé and told him that he should kick the guy out of his lineup because his friend and his fianceé have basically tried to make us both getting married into a competition and I’m sick of it! Weddings are supposed to be happy times where your true friends are happy for you not trying to beat you with their own wedding. Am I being over dramatic?
