Tree Planting Unity Ceremony

Steffani, on February 20, 2020 at 3:28 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4
Wondering if anyone has done a tree planting (or potted plant) unity ceremony, and if so, what kind of tree/plant did you choose? Our wedding is in August and we would have to do something potted that could later be planted in the ground.
I don’t know the significance behind different plants, but if there was something symbolic to you, please share! 🙂

My family does rose bushes but usually the afternoon after. And the couple does it by them selves with their hands to symbolize the work and rewards of a marriage.

I love that idea! You don't have to plant it day of, but then a blessing could be potentially said over the potted plant.

Oh I love that! We were thinking of just having a pre-potted plant at the ceremony, and then each tossing a cup of soil in and watering it together. Then after all is said and done we would plant it together at home. I like the rose bush idea!
