Traveling with a dress

We live in CT but our wedding will be in Florida next year. I do not have the dress just yet but I'm wondering what the best option would be. Should I attempt to fly with it? Have it shipped down there? Maybe just bite the bullet and drive down there.

In your case I would drive. But I live in CO and got married in NC so I shipped my dress before the wedding and took it as a carry on on the plane ride back.

Most people I know who’ve had to travel have taken their dress as a carry on.

I will hand carry it From CA to HI. I can’t risk it. Will let the hotel refresh it in my room the night before.
