Traveling MUA pricing.

Kiera, on July 17, 2017 at 7:00 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 30

I talked to a MUA today who gave me a price of $150 for facial and makeup application. This includes her travel cost and the makeup trial. Is this a good price? Should I try to get her to come down a little?

"Facial" AND makeup application? That's new.

Yes that's a great cost, IMO because my trial and day of for makeup alone was $340 before gratuity. But I'm in NYC and used someone with 15 years experience.

150 isn't bad at all, tbh. Thank God I know professional mua's and hair stylists who are going to do mine as a wedding gift. I live in Philadelphia and the lowest price I've seen is $250.

$150 is a normal fee even WITHOUT travel. If you like her, book her

That's a great fee. I live in a relatively inexpensive location and mine was going to be more than that.

I wouldn't do a facial on my wedding day. Facials can cause redness and irritation that can last for days.

That's a great price, but only if she is a quality vendor. It doesn't matter how cheap she is if she sucks.

Mine is four times that amount: $300 for day of plus $300 for the trial.

Wow! Some of the prices here FH would throw a shit fit if I spent 300! He already told me , vehemently, you are not spending $200 on hair and makeup for one day! He just doesn't get it. Really appreciate everyone's input! Thanks girls!

150 is a great price for sure! If you were to buy all the products a pro would use to do your face it would cost upwards of 500 bucks. You can tell him to put that in his pipe and smoke it lol (kidding)

If you don't get facials regularly, I would highly suggest that you do it have one on your wedding day or even the week leading up to it.

Facials can cause redness and irritation that you're not going to want showing up in your wedding photos.

Mines $260 but includes hair too so that seems fair.
