Did you hire a travel agent or plan your honeymoon yourself?

After much consideration, planned it ourselves! We found a great deal through Expedia. But, travel agents are super helpful, especially if you’re limited on time to do the planning. We just found that the cost was higher with an agent.

Booked with an agent. It cost nothing, and she will handle everything.

We went with a travel agent, but I wish I would've done everything myself. I've had to go behind her to make sure things were handled properly, adding to my stress level.

Ours was easy to book because it's an all inclusive resort through St. Lucia so we didn't need a travel agent. It can be super helpful to go with a travel agent if you're not doing anything all inclusive and want to do more of an exploration kind of honeymoon.

    Planned it myself!!

Yes, travel agents don’t make you pay them directly. BUT the prices are always higher with travel agents. It is because what they book you, they add commission on top of it. Take it from someone who works with a travel agency

We take our Disney Planning to a level that would worry a travel agent.

I started with a travel agent, but the prices were intense for what we wanted. Ended up going to Orbitz and getting what I wanted at a much better deal.

I hired an agent. The services weren't an extra cost plus she was able to take care of all the reservations we wanted without me having to stress about it. I think it depends what you are planning for your honeymoon. I think if you're doing a relaxing beach-style honeymoon, you can probably get away with doing it yourself. If you're doing something that involves a lot of activities then maybe look into a planner. Good luck!

We booked our honeymoon through tripmasters. It’s just a booking site, but I’ve used them before and found great prices!

I have been planning on my own. Lots of times hotels will include what people can do in the surrounding area and I like planning based on that ☺️

I didn't realize that people still used travel agents in all honesty! But you for sure get what you pay for. Expensive option but there is no hassle in planning and someone else to blame if something goes wrong lol

    Happy planning! 🥰
