Travel agent or book online yourselves?

I’ve been living in Houston for 15 years now and let me tell you, it’s one of the best places to visit! If you’re interested in a lazy river there’s the Marriott Marquis that’s downtown Houston. It’s not all inclusive but they do have a Texas shaped pool and it’s also a lazy river. Very nice! I’ll share a photo. You could also go downtown and ride the metro rail. It’s a train & you’ll get to see the soccer stadium, the basketball arena and the baseball field as well. All great for photo opps. There’s plenty of spas & there is one where it’s 24/7 I think don’t quote me, but they have the mud bath, spa treatment & massages. Let me find the name of it because I can’t remember.

Also, there’s a place in Conroe, TX not too far from Bush airport. There’s a place called Margaritaville, VERY nice resort and it’s all inclusive. However, it can be a bit expensive but it’s really nice and an amazing experience.

I really like the idea of having travel planned for us. It’s great because they can negotiate lower rates they arrange car service and manage details that we just don’t really have time to do. I also like the idea of visiting Texas which is something I’ve never thought about. So maybe doing something domestic might be easier to do yourself but if you’re going out of the country I would say definitely go through a travel agency.

It definitely depends on you. Personally, I'd want to plan the travel myself and be in control of the itinerary. I like planning, though. If this is daunting to you, a planner might help. I imagine though that travel planners are busy now that covid restrictions are being lifted and people can/want to travel.

I like planning it myself - it can be a lot more research but i feel like it's rewarding in that you get to choose everything that works best for you. it also can be a lot cheaper. of course you can book a basic package with a travel planner and add onto it!

I did a travel agent and am really happy I did. I'm still booking our dinners and some activities but she handled hotels, airport transfers, and small group tours and activities. Its also great to have it all laid out in one itinerary. The service only cost $200. But for an all inclusive this is way less necessary because the resort will help with your excursions and you're not transferring between locations once youre at the resort

We’re using a travel agency- Duffle & Compass. They help plan national and international on various budgets. I’ve given them ideas on what we’re looking for, and they do all the planning. It ultimately comes down to us saying yes or no to the itinerary- they tweak stuff as needed based on what we want.

Yes please go with a ticket agent but if you have someone who know a honest one. Because you want to be safe and begin taking advantage of. Always research where you going and could this a money saver or taking advantage of you. Which ever you whose have a great time
