Trash The Dress ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ

The Bride, on September 17, 2019 at 7:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
Have you heard of women jumping into the ocean with their dress on after the wedding? What about going paint balling afterwards?

What are your thoughts on this trend? Would you consider "trashing" your dress?

More power to them! I'm hoping to have mine made into a baptism/christening gown for my baby!

My husband and I couldnโ€™t see his childhood friends for our wedding so I brought my dress to Argentina and we had a huge beach asado and the women all wore our dresses and ran into the ocean and destroyed our gowns.

It was a memory Ill have forever. We had a great time and it felt like I really got to bond with his friends wives.

My dress was so gross we just burnt it in the bonfire (okay and maybe one of his drunk friends dared me to do it too ๐Ÿคฃ)

I love this trend. I always thought Iโ€™d do it but I want my dress to be in good shape to be dyed and turned into a faerie queen costume after the wedding. The photos still make me swoon.
If I did a Trash the Dress I wouldโ€™ve picked a field of wildflowers to run in, sticky barbed plants and all! Or maybe made snow angels on a mountain. ๐Ÿ˜

We are doing a trash the dress photo thing the morning after the wedding. Getting into the ocean all dressed up with the bridal party. I canโ€™t wait!

I love the pictures that come from the trash the dress photo shoots but could never do it myself! I'm very attached to my dress and will definitely be preserving it. I hope to have a daughter and maybe she'll wear it one day. Smiley smile

I just want to say if you are going into a body of water with your dress on PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be very careful or consider an alternative - recently there was a woman that got swept under and drowned doing this Smiley sad

If you want to trash your dress, more power to you but I couldn't stomach it after spending so much money, and I also want to be able to keep it for sentimental reasons. Even if I never pass it on, I'm sure there's a lovely bride that could also enjoy it. It just seems like a huge waste.

I would rather donate mine to someone who cannot afford a dress than destroy it!
