Transportation

Kalie, on February 17, 2020 at 1:38 PM Posted in Planning 1 8

Hey Ladies,

I'm curious to know on what you guys have done with transportation for your weddings. My ceremony and reception is about 40 minutes away from where a lot of people will be staying and where the airport is. I don't have any room blocks yet but most of our guests probably wont be able to afford a rental car to drive to the venue, so my question is what have you guys done for your guests and also the bridal party? We might rent a house for the whole bridal party from that Thursday night to Sunday , to get ready at the morning of and stuff but its like 40 minutes away from the venue. any ideas??

I’m doing an air bnb for the bridal party and separate one for the groomsmen. I’m going to reserve my hotel block next month. For the out of town guests and those staying the hotel we are charting a bus for about 40-50 people

Our hotel is going to shuttle all our hotel guests to the venue and back, it's included with a 15 room minimum. Is 40 minutes the closest location? Ours was 25 away.

My shuttles went unused which was so depressing. I had people rsvp for the shuttle and they decided to drive themselves anyway. I would make sure people really want to use it before you drop the cash.

We are renting a school bus, check into that as we found it to be much cheaper than a traditional charter bus.

We paid for two 14 person buses, one for bride & bridesmaids & moms and one for groom & groomsmen & dads. Then we paid for a getaway limo at the end of the night for me & my husband. Then we paid for two 55 person buses for guests that went to & from our main hotel block.
