Transportation Timeline: What time to offer return shuttle?

snoglobe, on June 21, 2016 at 10:25 AM Posted in Planning 0 2

Hi all!

I'm planning a backyard wedding in upstate New York. Most of our guests are coming from out of town, and the nearest hotel (where we blocked out rooms) is about 15 -20 minutes away. We are planning to offer a shuttle to and from the hotels.

My question? Because it is a laid-back backyard wedding, there isn't really a set party "end time". As such, I'm not sure what time to offer the shuttles back? We get 2 shuttle times.

The shuttle pick-up is at 3:15 for our 4:00pm ceremony. What would make sense to have return? 9 &10? 9 & 11? 10 & 11? 10 & 12?

I don't know how long everyone is going to want to "hang out" afterwards (there's a bonfire, etc).

Thoughts?

I'm in a similar situation. We're having a set end time for our reception so that we can actually have a scheduled return shuttle for guests. If anyone misses the last shuttle because they're still hanging out (which is fine) there will be a few cars at the house including at least 1 larger suv to get the stragglers back.

I'm in the same boat, having a backyard wedding as well but unsure of how I should actually schedule the shuttle
