I am getting married about 1.5 hours out of Minneapolis Minnesota at a beautiful winery and vineyard. I have a large amount of out of state guests that will be flying into the MSP airport. Originally the hotels we booked with had shutte busses that picked up from MSP and would transport guests around. Well I just learned that they no longer have the service due to management change. I am freaking out. It is way to late to change venues and get closer to the cities. I started looking at transportation services for the whole weekend which is probably going to cost me a few pretty pennies. Anyone have other ideas? Advice? Reassurance that my wedding isn't going to be a total disaster? I am starting to get stress dreams about it. Thank you Smiley smile

We had a fair share of international guests that came to our wedding which was about 1.5 hours away from the intl airport they all flew into. Between them they rented cars and helped each other out with rides to the hotel. From there we had a shuttle driving 15 mins from hotels to the venue on wedding day. People said this was great and no one had to worry about driving, getting lost etc. I think this is the best middle ground. The thought never occurred to me to have a shuttle from the airport, that would cost waaaay too much in our case. We did drive a few people up to the hotels when we went for the rehearsal in our car because they don’t drive in the US which I would NOT recommend (your car will be packed with wedding stuff I was getting annoyed that luggage was taking priority) but it was something that needed to happen in our case.

We are doing a DW with a lot of people flying into town. They are all renting cars or coordinating with people that decided to drive instead. We are providing transportation from the cabins to the venue and then back but thats because we didn't want to worry about people drinking and driving on steep mountain roads (in the smoky mountains).

We hired shuttles, we paid $1,150 round trip per 55 person bus for a 30 minute ride each way. If you can get your deposit back, you could look for other venues if you want since you are still 1 year out.
