Transportation at the end of the night?

Do any of the hotels have shuttles? They might be able to offer rides back to the hotel and/or to the ceremony. And how will people be getting to the ceremony? If they're driving there, maybe you could get the shuttle to take them back. If they're going to be using ubers and such, I'd honestly expect them to be able to handle getting back to the hotels, but I also totally get worrying over it haha

Uuhh I'd worry about that. If you don't bring them back to the site of the ceremony how will they return to their cars? Uber and Lyft hike prices if a lot of people are requesting the same pick up and drop off areas so you guests might end up paying a LOT if that's your solution.

I think you either need to be worried about this for the whole night or not at all. I don’t believe transportation is ever required, but if you’re transporting guests in one direction, you absolutely need to transport them in the other. Where are their cars going to be?

To clarify: I would imagine that if people drove to the ceremony, they’d drive from ceremony to reception (since there’s parking at both). For people who got there via Uber or some other method, the bus is just a way for them to get the five minute drive to the reception without ubering again.

i totally get the Uber cost thing, but do people really want to be stuck on a bus that makes several stops at other hotels? It’s not super feasible to do four different buses.

Could you get 2 busses that stop at 2 hotels each?

I'd consider doing a bus, even if it does stop at multiple hotels (whether that's one bus doing all five hotels or two buses doing 2-3 hotels each). If 150 people are trying to uber home from one location, the surge pricing is going to be out of control.

Check out Uber events! Ive never used it but you can have the bill sent to you or you can set a budget and you pay up until your guests hit that amount! Probably your best best so that you know they'll have transportation.

People will figure out a way to get back to their hotel as long as you let them know that transportation is provided to the reception but not afterwards.

I'm having my wedding in a big city but my ceremony and reception is in the same place. The hotel blocks are all less than a mile away. I was going the get transportation but then I didn't see the need of the extra cost. Walk or uber if you didn't drive. I just imagined everyone leaving at different times and didn't want that headache.

My guests will be either driving or taking an uber.
