Mahogany Place Tagaytay
So, my FH wants to have rustic theme and wants to have outdoors to complement the Theme. The problem is our wedding time is almost on rainy season so we decided to go indoors. We already booked the place and what we didn’t really thought of that time is the venue is far from rustic since it’s a hall. I included a picture.
Any ideas how to transform the venue? The drapes will be there and cannot be removed.
1) I am thinking for the lights to have yellow lights so it’s similar to a candle light. That way the white drape will somehow looks a little rustic?
2) Do you think wooden table will fit here with burlap or lace runners? I was thinking they will not fit on the venue. I am probably thinking of just table with probably cream linens then with burlap and lace then tiffany chairs that can be gold or like near wood color.
3) The venue is strict, if we want to put something on the ceiling we have to provide trusses. So right now our caterer will handle all event styling (tables, chairs, center piece, couple back drop, buffet, gift and cake table) and it does not include the venue decoration. Now I am thinking for our florist to do the venue (walls, ceiling) and also the cocktail area since the caterer will just provide tables and themed linens there and my FH also wants the cocktail area styled to theme. As you can also see that there is almost no walls, its mostly windows so it will be hard to put decoration there.
It’s easy to make the tables/chairs or backdrop rustic but I have to be careful since too much and it will not fit the venue. My FH wants like a barn rustic theme but in my opinion we can’t go overboard with it. I am thinking probably elegant rustic or something.
And yes I am the groom. Is it weird that like from the two of us I am concerned most on the event styling. Haha! I really want it to look good and make my FH happy.
