Traditions and important aspects

I want to know what your important traditions or important aspects you want incorporated into your ceremony. That being religious, cultural or just a special personal thing.

I think the most important tradition that I want at my wedding is my dad giving me away, because we’ve always been so close. Another important aspect that I am hoping to do is to find a way to incorporate all the people in my life who have passed away into my special day. Whether it be with candles, pictures on chairs, or their pictures attached to my bouquet.

I asked my mom, and she didn't recall any specific ones in her side of the family, so we are winging the tradition. (I don't talk to my biological father's side with the exception of a step-cousin).
My amazing step-dad is giving me away. We are doing a secular ceremony, incorporating hand-binding and, with our permission to the officiant, including a Navajo wedding blessing. It's lovely and made me cry.

Having my parents walk me down the aisle and stating my vows to my FH are above all the most important parts to me.

For me it will be the Tea Ceremony. It's an intimate moment with each elder family member and our parents. Very special in my culture.

My dad's health has been really bad, so it'll be really special when he gives me away. We're also writing our own vows, which is really special to me.

We are having a very untraditional wedding. The only traditional things we are having are the things that were important to us. For me, having my dad walk me down the aisle. For FH, saying the traditional vows (not making up our own) and not seeing me on our wedding day until I walk down the aisle.

The most important thing, aside from marrying my fiancé, is having my aunt (who is a minister) perform the ceremony. Honestly, there aren’t many traditions that are important to me other than wearing a wedding dress. For the most part, I’m trying to avoid traditions!
