Traditional Mexican Weddings- Ayuda for Songs/Dances!

Juanita , on June 8, 2017 at 9:37 AM Posted in Planning 0 11

Are there any brides that are having a traditional Mexican wedding? Including dances like Mandilon, Muertito, Baile del Dolar, La Vivora, Brindis, etc? I need help picking songs for some dances!

Congrats on your big day, Juanita. I think you just named half the songs yourself. Let me just throw in "El Son de la Negra" for either your recessional or your reception entrance. I would recommend coordinating with your DJ not just the songs but your ceremony and reception timeline so you are both on the same page. Your wedding sounds like a blast already. Best wishes!

Hi Juanita. Congrats. Im having a Jewish-Mexican wedding lol. Im all over the place. We def want to do la vibora .. that would be it. The mariachis are going to do "La marcha nupcial". What are you doing for when you walk down the aisle?

For when we walk down the aisle the mariachi is going to play "Que Alegria Cuando Me Dijeron" I believe? I'm just trying to decide on songs for the other dances, or maybe I guess I could tell the DJ to pick some?

Try Banda Machos "El Mandilon" and any version of "La Vibora de la Mar". Those are the names of the songs and can be found on youtube if you'd like to preview them. You'll want a version of Chopin's "Funeral March" for el Muertito. The dollar dance can be to any slow songs of your choosing. Your DJ can dial you in on everything else. Best wishes!

@MrsWrs if you notice the title says SONGS/DANCES and you also might want to take into consideration that not ALL of Mexico have the same traditions.

@Vanessa- Yes girl! I am super excited! I already have our first song picked out and our song for our dance with our Moms (since both of us don't have our Dads), now just trying to figure out the last little things! Looks like your big day is coming up too! How exciting Smiley smile It'll be here before you know it!
