Trader Joe’s diy Flowers

Danica, on February 10, 2020 at 9:53 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 9
Getting married in 47 days and I’ll be making my own florals: 2 bouquets and 2 boutonnières. We are having a small wedding, immediate family only are guests, so no need for anything crazy.

My reception decor is faux silver dollar eucalyptus garland with white antlers and birch wood candles on top of an ivory cheesecloth runner (we’re doing one long table).
Ceremony decor is birch wood candles going down the stairs of the porch we are having our ceremony on. Needless to say, we have no other flowers.
This is my first attempt at our bouquets...white roses with eucalyptus greenery. Total cost - $11 :-).
I know I have to redo it to make it more even, but initial thoughts otherwise?

It looks very nice! Maybe add a little more of the roses to make it look a little more full? or tie it a little tighter I just looks a little loose at the top. Smiley smile

Thanks! I want a little looseness to keep it a bit organic, but not overly floppy. I did cut the stems too short so that is probably not helping, but I can definitely wrap the stems a bit tighter.

It looks great! If you do want the roses to look fuller letting them sit in water in the sun by a window or outside if it’s not too cold makes them open up and look much fuller!

Thanks for the tip, I’ll see how they are when I get home from work tomorrow!

I’ll end up getting them the day before...which means there may not be white roses and eucalyptus at that time but ill just make it work!

It’s pretty but needs a bit more. Doesn’t have to be roses. If there’s a Whole Foods near you, try them. They have some great flowers more reasonably price than you’d think.

I agree. Would you consider adding some baby’s breath?

If they have it at that time. Again, I’m literally just going to be picking up a couple bundles of whatever they have in the store, as I’m making them the day before since we are having a morning ceremony.

I'm making my own flowers with Trader Joe's too!

I love how simple and natural your bouquet looks.

Taking Camryn’s suggestion, I left them in the windowsill today when I went to work. They opened up a bit more, I think it looks nice!
