You can search for nearby vendors using the Vendor tab here on WeddingWire! You should be able to filter by location and/or price. When you find a few options that you'd like to consider further, be sure to check multiple sites for reviews (Google, Facebook, The Knot, etc), and pay attention to how many reviews they have, how recent those reviews are, and whether there are any concerns from the reviews. Also schedule a meeting to get more information, and bring lots of questions with you. Ask to see full albums from weddings they've photographed recently (even better if it they've previously photographed a wedding at your venue), as opposed to just looking at a few of their best images. A contract will also help you avoid scams: read it multiple times before you sign, make sure you agree with all conditions, and make sure the contract clearly states all of the cancellation, refund, and service policies.
