I was supposed to get married in December this year. I got my wedding dress in March right before COVID hit and fell in love with this simple yet elegant off the shoulder satin ballgown cfb_1422915.jpg
we recently decided to postone until next December and I was still getting emails from David's Bridal about new gowns coming in. Since I am now waiting a whole another year to get married I decided to check out some new arrivals and liked a few. i made a second appointment to get my curiosity out of the way. I SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT. lol i picked out and fell in love with this dresscfb_1422917.jpg
now I'm torn. I absolutely love both dresses and not sure what to do. the ONLY thing I'm hesitant about with the second dress is I am self conscious about my arms and thats a reason why I loved the off the shoulder gown because it covers my arms without wearing long sleeves. so I really want to hear some honest opinions of what looks better. i would appreciate your feed back! 😊

I think the second dress is so pretty and it's very much a "now" dress with the sheer patterned overlay and nude/champagne color underneath. The first dress is a bit more classic.

I know you haven't had alterations done yet, but the second one fits a lot better than the first, especially around the bust. As is, I like the second one a lot better, but once both are tailored to you either would be beautiful.

One thought - did you raise up your arms in the first dress? Can you? I know some sleeved dresses really inhibit range of motion. So think about your dancing style, what sort of photos you want to take, and if that first dress restricts your movement at all. Looks aside, the practicality of the dress is something you should consider as well when making a final decision.

I wish I had a picture of the first dress in my size so I could compare the two better. thats what makes it even more difficult! but yeah with the first one I made sure I could raise my arms and could move around easily in it because even though its a ballgown, its very lightweight which I loved. both dresses are light and easy to move in. thanks for your input! I never thought it would be this difficult to pick a damn dress lol

Wow!! Those are both gorgeous dresses!! 😍 But they're definitely a different vibe!

Are you feeling more drawn to one dress or the other?? Or on the opposite side - if you think about not wearing one of those dresses, what leaves you the most bummed out?

I tried on that exact satin dress at DB a couple weeks ago and it was my favorite one there, totally reminds me of Aurora's dress from Sleeping Beauty! I ended up going with a satin dress from another store but I do prefer the look of the satin dress better than the second, it has more of a bridal look. And it will look so much more amazing once they order it in your size and alter it to your exact measurements. I might like the second one better if it were all ivory.
