Torch Lake Honeymoon

I LOVE Torch lake! My Aunt has a cabin on it, you guys will have a blast. Aside from the typical lake activities there’s tons to do in Traverse City, just depends on what you’re looking for. I enjoy the live music on the bay during the summer.
Also, there’s some nice wine tasting on Mission Peninsula, Chateau Chantal was our favorite, we went after getting engaged last year.
Depending on how long you’ll be there and how far you want to drive you should consider a day trip to Mackinac Island.

If you head northeast about 40 minutes, you can go into Charlevoix. One of the best sunset views from the beach there and they have a nice restaurant with outdoor seating for a fancy dinner with views of the boats in the channel and the drawbridge. If you head west and go towards Traverse City through Elk Rapids you will come across Tonwline Ciderworks. It's a small but neat cider room with outdoor and indoor games, fun place to relax with a pint or two. The Elk Rapids downtown area is very cute too with lots of neat little shops.

You definitely won't be bored there during the Summer, especially if you are active people and love to get out into nature! Have you searched on Trip Advisor, Lonely Planet and Airbnb Experiences for ideas of activities? They are usually good for suggesting activities that you may not have thought of on your own!
