Too nervous to get married.

I can't be the only person here who is terrified of ever being the center of attention and all eyes being on them. I am soooooo damn nervous! lol how will I ever walk down the aisle with 100 people staring at me! Ahahahaha I'm so weird. My heart seriously races every time I think about our wedding day and me walking down the aisle.

    I got describe it because of my anxiety & it helps me so much! Talk to your doctor even if it's temporary.

    Just try to focus on how dapper your FH will be looking. Smiley smile Maybe if you put all your focus on FH, you'll notice the crowd a little less.

    I'm sorry you're so anxious. I have anxiety of my own...though I'm fine with being center of attention. If you feel like you need to, don't be afraid to see your doctor or a psychologist who can give you some medication or help you work through your anxiety.

    Have you tried meditation? The apps suggested on the Health tab on the iPhone iOS 10 update have been a game-changer for me. Exercise also helps me reset, and is a natural way to help alleviate anxiety. And, as previous PPs have mentioned, see a therapist or psychiatrist who can do a professional evaluation and get you any medications you may need. I'd suggest counseling to anyone going through major life changes, fwiw.

    Oh I understand, I have terrible anxiety and am super fearful that I will have a panic attack or faint or whatever else. The advice I am giving myself (and also to you), is to focus on your breathing - typically when people have anxiety, they tend to hold their breath unknowingly which creates the feeling of not being able to get any air, or that our chests hurt etc. So remember to be mindful and aware of your breathing, it relaxes me when I am feeling anxious. That and remember that you're getting MARRIED! this is the best day of your life! positive thoughts Smiley smile
