Too much?

I think it depends on the crowd and what people know/expect of you. If my FH and I danced to that, people would probably look at us like we had 3 heads but that isn’t what we are normally into. If you and your FH are then I say go for it because it is your day and that’s what matters.

If it's "you" I don't think it's too much. My FH and I are gonna dance to "Only One In Color" by Trapt because it is our song. I was a little unsure at first because it's definitely not traditional, but it means a lot to us. I say do it!

Im going to say absolutely do it! This is a beautiful song, and the day is about the two of you! I also love that its not the traditional, cliche songs that everyone else uses.
My FH is in charge of picking out our music and this is what he picked out for our first dance.

Oh, and I was kinda having the same thoughts like you are, but about my processional song. Im doing an a capella version of the song, because its going to be a surprise for my FH, since were not writing our own vows. This is kinda just one little way i can tell him how much he means to me.

If you're worried about what others may think, what about using an acoustic version? That's what we're doing; our first dance song was a little too "upbeat".

Definitely not "too heavy" or "too much." My fiancé and I both like rock music, so we will incorporate a lot of music from that genre. We don't want to spend our day listening to only other people's music. We want our favorite songs to be a focal point to us. (:

Go for it! Music is really important to my fiance and I and we like obscure music so trying to balance things to suit our guests. However, This is your song and moment and I think you will regret leaving out a significant song that gives you "that" emotional feeling. You can always have the DJ fade it out so that it is not too long.

This was one of the songs my fiance suggested. As of now, we're going with Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters". If it means something to you two, that's all that matters.

Definitely not too much. My fiancée and I love this song and it is on our list of songs we want the DJ to play at our wedding. Beautiful song!

This is our song for the first dance! We both love rock music and godsmack is one of our many favorites. I say go for it!

If the song has meaning to you and your fiance, then it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks.

WE picked this song as well and its our first dance song! We both love heavy metal music so this was the closest we could get without it turning into a mosh pit haha not to mention that most heavy metal or rock songs are typically about breaking up.

This is our song also and i'm curious if anyone has videos from their weddings that used this song, I can't find anything on Youtube!
